With one of West Africa’s most developed consumer sectors, Cameroon’s economy has performed steadily over the past decade. Real GDP growth averaged 3% between 2005 and 2011. Per capita GDP of about US $1,300 and a relatively well-developed food and drink industry suggest that Cameroon is further along than many other regional economies.
